Interior Golf Cup celebrated successful premiere in 2022

The Interior Golf Cup, the first sporting networking event for the entire interior design industry, took place on 2 June 2022. With the participation of over 50 decision-makers from the industry, the premiere was a complete success.

The first sporting networking event for the entire interior design industry began in northern Germany and ended in sunny warmth: the Interior Golf Cup on 2 June 2022 was a complete success. More than 50 decision-makers from the industry were drawn to the north to Alveslohe near Hamburg, where they were welcomed by the initiators Florian Goos and Dirk Schroeder and their team. Half of the participants arrived the evening before at Gut Kaden, whose golf course enjoys a high reputation among golfers: As a venue of the European Tour, world-class golfers such as Tiger Woods, Henrik Stenson and Martin Kaymer have already started there.

18-hole golf tournament and taster golf thrilled participants

At the 1st golf tournament of the furnishing industry, there were no professional golfers, but there were extremely professional furnishing experts with partly impressive golfing talents at the start. For those who entered with a golf license, an 18-hole golf tournament with a handicap was held, so the score was included in the handicap of the participants. Those who arrived without any previous experience were able to gain their first experience of this trendy sport at the taster tournament. Thus, all guests were kept busy with sports during the competition, which was sponsored by Koelnmesse and OZONOS, among others. Which was ideal, considering the weather situation: the day started off typically North German stormy and with moderate temperatures, but dry. After the sun gradually appeared from midday onwards and the wind died down, it was possible to sit together outside at 20 degrees Celsius and in the sunshine after the tournament and taster golf - perfect for the informal exchange of ideas among the interior design specialists, who covered all aspects of the interior design sector from companies to associations and trade fairs to trade media.

The two organisers of the Interior Golf Cup drew a thoroughly positive balance: "With the Interior Golf Cup, we invited the entire interior design industry to a networking event of a different kind for the first time - and the success of the premiere reinforces our belief that precisely such an event has been lacking until now," says Florian Goos, Managing Director of The Wild Goose. Co-initiator Dirk Schroeder of smart2digital confirms this assessment: "The first event is always a certain risk. The high number of participants and the extremely positive feedback have confirmed that we have hit a nerve and can establish the event permanently." What's more, throughout the event you could sense how important live events are, how much people want to see each other again, meet and exchange ideas. The main sponsors OZONOS and Koelnmesse also took advantage of this and presented themselves throughout the event. Other supporters such as IFM, mobel.de, The JOOULY and Vogelsänger also actively contributed to the success.
